How I Stopped Social Media From Dictate My Life

How are you?,

Whatever the issue, I will urge you must still be positive, why because your story could be worse, you could have died but you are still alive. Please count your blessings.

Today, I want to talk about being you, and loving the image of Christ Jesus, which is you. We complain and worry so much about how we look and appear to others. In a normal circumstance, we really should not. unfortunately over the years, things have changed, the ideal body, ideal face, ideal legs, ideal tummy, and the list goes on.

We are been made to forget the glory in which God created us. We just want to look like everyone else, forgetting who, we are supposed to be. I do not have a problem with looking good, because if you know me, you would know, I love fashion, I love to look good always. there is nothing wrong with that, fact!

The issue now, many of us have forgotten that we were created in the image of God. By all means look good, it is important for our appearance and our overall self-esteem. Where we are starting to feel hurt and stressed out, is where we must start to recognize, we under pressure to impression to look a certain way, it has become a daily project, to present a certain image, even when it is not needed.

See, many people do not look the same way at home. Social media, a great place for a lot of fantastic stuff but it has also become a place where people are secretly suffering due to what individuals introduced and cannot maintain.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:26

I will just be straight with you, Please STOP! You cannot do this to your self, God loves you, just the way you are. Social media cannot dictate your life!

So now, know that you are wonderful and beautifully made. (Psalm 139:14) I tell my friends and loved ones, they are upsetting God, by doing and giving a false impression of themselves to people. God is just a great father, he gives us many and many more opportunities to change and live a better life, so it is never too late.

Mental Health is real! Do not suffer silently because you want to impress, we are all allowed to make a mistake, you did and thought giving or showing a certain life and image can gain you followers, or high-class faces in your list of followers, well I am sure, now happened, and even if it did, how long did it last?

Be you, just you. Your face, leg, tummy, which you had a beautiful baby, and you should celebrate your body regardless of how it looks, hair, height, and endless list of how to do. Forget it, be you, sis, bro, mummy, daddy, daughter, brother, oh minister, leader, and my dear celeb, forget it and just be you.

I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully madeWonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:14

Love yourself, please I do not mean being full of “I am better than everyone else” more like the natural love we have for our self, before social media and other stuff, took over our mind on self-image.

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13
